Sample sculpts and the guided tour

The welcome card

The welcome card appears the first time you start Shapeaway, and once after each feature update. It offers the samples, the tour, and a list of what’s new. Bring it back any time from Settings.

Samples

Four finished sculpts: Duck, Mug, Snail and Toadstool. Open them from the welcome card or File › Open recent. Each opens as an untitled copy, so you can sculpt over it and the original never changes.

They’re good for experimenting: open one, turn on Wireframe in the Looks tab, run the Print tab’s report, or paint over it.

The tour

Seven short steps in a small card at the side of the view: add clay, turn, zoom, carve, smooth, undo, paint. Each step moves on by itself when you’ve done it. Skip a step or end the tour at any time, and take it again from the welcome card or Settings.
