Privacy
Shapeaway is made by one person in the UK. Questions about your data, or a request to see or delete it: [email protected].
The app
Shapeaway has no account. Your sculpts, settings and autosaves stay on your computer, in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Shapeaway\Shapeaway. The one thing it fetches is a small file, once at startup, to see whether a newer version is out: a plain request for version.json from this website, which holds the latest version number and links to its release notes and download. Nothing is sent with it: no ID, no licence key, no cookie, nothing about you, your computer or your sculpts. Like any visit to a website, the request shows our web host your IP address. You can turn the check off in Settings › Files & reports › Updates. A crash report is only ever saved to a folder you choose, and only shared if you send it yourself.
This website
The site sets no cookies and runs no tracking. If privacy-friendly analytics (such as Plausible or Umami) are added, this page will say which, and they will not use cookies or collect personal data.
When you write to [email protected], we use your address only to reply, and delete it on request.
The launch list is run with Kit, which stores the address you give and sends the emails. You confirm by email before anything is sent, every email has a one-click unsubscribe, and we never sell or share the list.
